These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of The IVF Support Space website, services, and resources (“Services”) provided by Adele O’Connor, psychotherapist and clinical hypnotherapist. By accessing our website or engaging our Services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Services

  • The IVF Support Space provides counselling, hypnotherapy, and therapeutic support to individuals and families navigating IVF, donor conception, and related fertility experiences.

  • Services may be delivered in person, online, or through digital resources.

  • All sessions are provided in good faith, but outcomes cannot be guaranteed.

2. Eligibility

  • Services are available to clients aged 18 years and over.

  • By booking, you confirm you are legally able to engage therapeutic services and provide accurate information about your circumstances.

3. Bookings and Payments

  • Sessions must be booked in advance via the booking system provided on the website.

  • Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD) unless specified.

  • Any applicable taxes or transaction fees will be outlined at checkout.

4. Cancellation and Rescheduling

  • At least 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a session.

  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may result in the session fee being forfeited.

  • In cases of genuine emergency, rescheduling will be considered at the discretion of the practitioner.

5. Confidentiality

  • All information shared in sessions is treated as strictly confidential, in accordance with professional ethical codes and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

  • Exceptions apply where disclosure is required by law, including:

    • Risk of harm to yourself or others

    • Child protection concerns

    • Legal requirements such as a subpoena

6. Limitations of Service

  • Counselling and hypnotherapy are supportive interventions but are not a substitute for medical care.

  • You are encouraged to seek advice from medical or allied health professionals for any physical or mental health conditions.

  • The IVF Support Space does not provide medical, legal, or financial advice.

7. Online Services

  • When engaging in online sessions, you are responsible for ensuring you have a stable internet connection and private environment.

  • The IVF Support Space is not liable for technical issues beyond our control.

8. Intellectual Property

  • All written materials, audio recordings, and resources provided are the intellectual property of The IVF Support Space.

  • They may not be shared, reproduced, or distributed without prior written consent.

9. Limitation of Liability

  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, The IVF Support Space and its representatives are not liable for any loss, injury, or damages arising from the use of our Services.

  • Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where it cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

10. Complaints and Feedback

  • If your complaint relates to privacy, you may also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

11. Governing Law

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.

  • Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.

  • We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on this page with the effective date noted.
